Nathan Grier’s dark fae bounty looms overhead. As he faces the very real threat of becoming a slave to the bounty’s owner, his brother Jim uses his changeling abilities more and more trying to save him. Every changeling throughout history turns evil once their powers manifest, meaning time may be running out for both of them as Jim nears True Awakening.

Fae hunter and incubus, Sasha Kelly, is prophesized to save Nathan, but while Nathan has embraced his feelings for the other man, he fears their time together will be cut short—either from his impending fate…or Jim’s.

Q) What inspired you to write this story?
Changeling is the sequel to Incubus, the second book in the trilogy The Incubus Saga. I was first inspired for this story years ago by this web comic I discovered about a teenage boy with an incubus imaginary friend. I couldn’t seem to make a story idea of my own work at the time, and from experience I knew I had to let it sit. Then one day, while watching an episode of Supernatural, the idea for my own incubus character, Sasha Kelly, appeared before me fully formed. The rest of the story fell into place with my love of fae and Arthurian lore, and male relationships, but it was the first time a character had ever revealed themselves to me so fully, so suddenly.

Q) How long did it take you to write?
That’s hard to answer, since I wrote the first draft of The Incubus Saga from 2007-2009, and then proceeded to rework it for publication. Finally, when I found BigWorldNetwork in 2011, I decided to release it serialized there first, which has led to the first two books, with the third and final set to release next year.

Q) What is your favorite thing about writing?
No limits. You can create any story you want, about anything. Always wished you could read about vampires in space? You can write it yourself. You’re not limited by reality, or what’s possible with special effects, nothing, because it’s ALL possible.

Q) What is your least favorite thing about writing?
Transitions. I hate when I get so excited about certain scenes, and then feel like I’m slugging along writing the in-betweens. That’s the biggest challenge: making every scene as fantastic as your favorites.

Q) If you could be any famous person for one day, who would you be and why?
Nathan Fillion, because he’s living the dream. He’s this awesome, down to earth, but also very geeky guy that everyone loves, and he gets to act, attend comic conventions, do voice work, and just generally exist as one of the coolest people ever.

Q) What is the oldest thing in your fridge and how old is it?
A jar of yeast. I’m sure my husband will get around to making bread again…someday.

Q) What can readers expect from you in the future?
The third book in The Incubus Saga will be out next summer – Sidhe. After that I’m very excited to begin work on a new Young Adult/Gay Paranormal Romance story about a boy who becomes a vampire his senior year in high school. My brain is buzzing with it already! Coming soon…
