Thanks so much for hosting me on my virtual book tour for my new release, Tristan’s Lyceum Wolves. I really appreciate the opportunity to do an author interview. It is great to be here with you and your readers!

Q) What inspired you to write this story?
Tristan’s Lyceum Wolves is the third book in the Immortals of New Orleans series. Tristan is a wonderful character, and I couldn’t wait for him to get his own book. He’s a funny, sexy and oh so alpha wolf.

Q) How long did it take you to write?
It took me around two and a half months to write the first draft. Once I get going with the story, I try to write at least 3,000 words a day. But the first draft is really just the beginning, because it goes through editing, beta reading, polishing, proofreading etc. Altogether, it took about four months before it was ready.

Q) What is your favorite thing about writing?
My favorite part about writing is dreaming up what scene comes next in my book and creating a different world with its own rules and characters. In a paranormal romance, characters are open to all kinds of experiences that are only limited by the author’s imagination. They have supernatural gifts and talents, and the rules of game can be anything you want them to be.

Q) What is your least favorite thing about writing?
Towards the end of working on a novel, when polishing, I tend to obsess over each little word. I sometimes get frustrated because every time I reread a paragraph, there is always something else I feel like changing. And while that often improves the book, there is risk. I know that every time I touch something that my editor has already read, there is the possibility I can make a mistake of some kind. For me, having a proofreader is critical because when I read my own work, it can be so difficult to find those little tiny typos. They are maddening.

Q) If you could be any famous person for one day, who would you be and why?
This is a really tough question! If I could be one person for a day, I’d probably be an astronaut. Even though I have a fear of heights, I would love to be able to go to space, experience weightlessness, see the moon close up and look down on the beautiful Earth.

Q) What is the oldest thing in your fridge and how old is it?
Funny question! My husband and I looked, and it was a lonely can of pineapple juice that expired in November 2012. Over the holidays, I’d been making martinis with cranberry juice and a splash of pineapple…guess I forgot it was in there! It was buried pretty deep in the back.

Q) What can readers expect from you in the future?
The next book in the series will be Logan’s. He’s a warm, sexy wolf who was thrown into unforeseen circumstances at the end of Tristan’s book. I can’t say too much about what happened to him, because it is a surprise. I can say that I am very excited that he’ll have his own book, because he’s a wonderful character!
