Mystery and Romance blend together when competing detectives Carolyn Woods and Jack Heart are both hired to solve the murder of Pete Wallace, only to realize they are working the same case.
To complicate things, Carolyn and Jack have an on again-off again relationship. Then there is Evan Jones, a handsome architect— but he's also a suspect.
Can Carolyn manage to solve the case as more and more murders pile up? Will her relationship with Jack hinder their investigations? And what about Evan Jones? He seems like the perfect man, but could he actually be the murderer?
One thing is for sure: someone close to both Carolyn and Jack has A Taste For Killing.

Q) What inspired you to write this story?
I write for Breathless Press and they opened a new "Covert" line. I wanted to try something different so I went for a sexy suspense book. Then I liked the characters so much I wrote a sequel. Each book is a stand-alone book though.
Q) How long did it take you to write?
I think it took me about a month to write the first book, A Taste For Killing, and then about two months to write the sequel, A Taste For Danger.
Q) What is your favorite thing about writing?
I love to write succinctly and my favorite thing is to write shorties. For example I have a shortie that just came out with Breathless press called Eyes Only. It is more involved with the clandestine than The Chasing The Taste books which focus on the characters and their detective adventures. I also love to write lots of twists and turns and surprise endings. For example, Eyes Only and both my stories in the Breathless Press Anthology, My Bloody Valentine all have surprise endings.
Q) What is your least favorite thing about writing?
Starting. Authors are experts at procrastination. I once wrote a whole book just to put off writing a different book!
Q) If you could be any famous person for one day, who would you be and why?
I think Neil Gaiman. Just to be inside his head for a day would be a great learning experience.
Q) What is the oldest thing in your fridge and how old is it?
I had to go look. I think the frozen enchilada dinner in the freezer is the oldest. It's been there for probably six months.
Q) What can readers expect from you in the future?
Well, A Taste For Killing is a stand-alone book. But I like these characters so the sequel is already done. The sequel, A Taste For Danger, comes out in June. So now is the perfect time to catch up! Then I would look for some more shorties probably and later, some anthology stories. Eventually I am also going to write a some science-fiction.
