Q) What inspired you to write this story?
Its hero, Malcolm MacLolmain. I first met him in book one of The MacLomain Series- Next Generation and have been eager to dive deeper into his character.
Q) How long did it take you to write?
A little under six weeks. Probably the fastest I’ve ever written a novel.
Q) What is your favorite thing about writing?
I’d have to say getting to know the characters better. It’s always interesting crawling inside their minds. I really enjoy the challenge of offering a wide variety of personalities.
Q) What is your least favorite thing about writing?
Editing! Ugh. Never fun.
Q) If you could be any famous person for one day, who would you be and why?
Lately I’ve been on a Spartacus kick (love that series!) so I’m going to go with Lucy Lawless. I adored the evil part she played in it. And I’m hoping she’s friends with several of the actors in the series. I’d love to meet them all. (R.I.P. Andy Whitfield)
Q) What is the oldest thing in your fridge and how old is it?
Chinese take-out. Two days old.
Q) What can readers expect from you in the future?
I intend to keep very busy. Plight of the Highlander, the final novel in The MacLomain Series- Next Generation series will be released in November. Then I’ll be starting a Viking series that stems off of the MacLomain series. You’ll learn more about a few of those upcoming characters in next month’s release, Faith of the Highlander, book four.
