A Montana town where no one is who they seem....

Everything about runaway heiress Ainsley McLeon screamed trouble—from her luscious midnight locks to her Louboutin-clad toes. Yet sexy, stoic bar owner Luc couldn’t deny the instant connection he felt to the tempting stranger…or the long-dead feelings she evoked. She could work in his pub until her truck was fixed but after that she had to leave town for good.

Ainsley traveled with her own emotional baggage and there was no way she'd fall for the bear-tempered Luc...no matter how many passionate nights she spent in his bed or how safe she felt in his muscular arms. Can these two opposites find love in the middle of a blizzard, or will Luc's darker side and Ainsley's past catch up with them?

Q) What inspired you to write this story?
The idea actually came from my publisher Liz Pelletier. She called me out of the blue one day and said, “I want a book about shifter who owns a bar, and the woman who falls in love with him.” She had a lot of the book planned out, and it made it easy for me to jump right in. I made it my own, but her original concept and idea for the characters is still there.

Q) How long did it take you to write?
Um, I’m embarrassed to say, it only took me about two days to write that first super messy draft. That book fell out of my head and onto the keyboard. I will say it took a couple of months and several round of edits to get it where it is today. But it really did fall out of my head.

Q) What is your favorite thing about writing?
Well, picking one thing is difficult. I use writing as therapy. If I have issues, I work them out in books. And I love losing myself in those worlds.

Q) What is your least favorite thing about writing?
Revisions and editing. I don’t mind them, but they aren’t my favorite.

Q) If you could be any famous person for one day, who would you be and why?
Oh, my goodness. That is a tough one. My day job as a TV and Film critic, means I come in contact with a lot of celebs. I’ve met some nice ones through the years. I think I have more of a jones for authors. I interviewed Neil Gaiman once for his appearance (do you call it that for animation) on “The Simpsons.” I love his work. I bet he’d be fun for a day, and he knows a lot of cool folks.

Q) What is the oldest thing in your fridge and how old is it?
I’m out of the country, and left my guys home alone. There are probably green things growing in there right now. We’re really bad about salad dressings. I swear they age faster than the speed of light.

Q) What can readers expect from you in the future?
I have several books coming out this year. None of which I can discuss yet. Stay tuned. (Smile)
